ST ANTON SKIING
St Anton skiing is revered world-wide amongst the better skiers and snowboarders for the terrain and snow accumulations. The steeps around the Valluga are famous and offer serious chutes and steeps whilst the superb snow record of the St Anton region ensure numerous powder days throughout the winter season.
The snow record in St Anton is one of the very best in the Alps whilst the neighbouring Lech-Zürs ski area has the second highest historic snowfall record in Europe. Beginner skiers can ski in the learners area in St Anton or else head over into St Christoph for some great easy skiing.
On powder days St Anton locals head over to Rendl for a day of untracked powder skiing - although the redeveloped Rendlbahn gondola is ensuring these secret spots are becoming less secret over time. Guiding in St Anton is some of the best around and is essential in most off-piste areas.
Corporate ski events usually include a wide range of skiing abilities and for those looking for less extreme skiing, the Arlberg ski region is huge and mightily impressive. For intermediate skiers the Arlberg ski region beyond the Galzig lift station is superb – the long runs out the St Anton ski area are fantastic.

ST ANTON RESORT
St Anton am Arlberg has an upmarket feel to it, but remains true to its alpine roots and within the resort of St Anton there is a good diversity of hotels, apartments and resort amenities.
The centre of the resort in St Anton has been redeveloped over recent years with the relocation of the St Anton railway station and the subsequent development of a wellness centre on the land freed up for this as well as the upgrade and relocation of the Rendl and Galzig ski lifts. Together these resort developments in St Anton have created a convenient central area that offers excellent ski and non-skiing resort facilities.
The main street running through the resort of St Anton am Arlberg is pedestrianised and features numerous hotels, apartments, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, as well as ski hire shops.
Airport transfers, to and from the resort are excellent with the Autobahn just a few minutes from St Anton, meaning Innsbruck airport arrival hall to resort centre is only 60 minutes. The main St Anton railway station is just across the river from the resort centre, with connections to Zurich and Innsbruck.
ST ANTON APRÈS SKI
St Anton is one of the big hitters of après ski globally. Action often starts at Mooserwirt ski hut (claimed to have the greatest consumption of alcohol in Austria during the winter months), located a few metres above the resort.
Other ski-in, ski-out watering holes include the Krazy Kanguruh or the Underground. The last run mayhem, post 21:00 is something to behold (or avoid)!
Once the ski boots are out of their bindings and firmly on the main pedestrianised section of St Anton, it is possible to party till the morning gondola queues are beginning to form!
There are local’s bars, dance clubs, sausage stands - very many ways to keep those ski boots on 24/7.

St Anton am Arlberg offers a range of up-market accommodation from design hotels to luxury private chalets. The transport connections are excellent with Innsbruck airport just 1 hour away along the autobahn.
The atmosphere and facilities in the resort are excellent with a modern spa, good restaurants and endless bars.
For those looking to meet during their corporate ski trip in St Anton, the resort boasts an impressive Congress centre as well as numerous smaller locations on the mountains which can host seminars.
There are numerous group activities aside from skiing to entertain clients, including ice driving, tobogganing, paragliding, ice climbing as well as more sedate activities such as winter and snowshoe walks.
I certainly had a crowd on my hands! Biggest problem was keeping the staff in check… However, all good and it was a resounding success.
