SCHLADMING SKIING

The Schladming ski piste map is a sea of red and blue ski pistes. The skiing stretches over 2 neighbouring mountains and it is possible to ski into the next ski area of Hauser-Kaibling or in the other direction over into Pichl and the Reiteralm ski area. Nearly all the skiing in Schladming, on both the Planai and Hochwurzen mountains is tree-lined. The same is true of the neighbouring ski regions. Schladming really is an intermediate skiers dream.

The one tough slope in the Schladming ski area is the lower section of the FIS race course that has a seriously steep section just above the ski lift base station. On the opposite side of the valley to the Planai and Hochwurzen ski areas is the Dachstein Glacier. The snow reliability and long ski seasons makes it a great local asset, whilst the top station features a stunning suspension bridge and viewing platform.
