The lifts were running today in Gerlos and for those up there it was certainly a great powder day. I went along to see the season opening après ski party that kicked off today and is set to run all weekend. I also popped into Konigsleiten, another resort in the Zillertal Arena and possibly the prettiest with chalet accommodation offering great ski-in, ski-out access and really great views over to the Hochkrimml ski area, another part of the Zillertal Arena. Snow and après ski is set for the entire weekend in Gerlos – so powder turns and partying for those lucky or wise enough to have booked in this weekend!
