Future-proof skiing in Kühtai |
 |

A ski-in / ski-out, 2020m resort, with big park and host of the TV hit, ‘The Jump’.

Kühtai is the highest ski resort in the region at 2020m and opened last weekend with bitter cold air, blistering sunshine and dry powder. Located south west of Innsbruck and part of the Innsbruck ski pass, Kühtai is enjoying a superb opening to the 2017-2018 winter season. There is also quite a bit going on in one of the highest and most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps.

The Wiesbergbahn chairlift recently replaced a fiercely steep T-bar lift that was as tough as the black piste it served. The K-Park, snow park has a burgeoning reputation in the area and is growing in size. It offers late spring soft snow for forgiving landings and has a great community of riders. The igloo complex in the middle of the ski area offers some great facilities at significant height, whilst there are a number of new hotels serving the snow-sure slopes.

The height of Kühtai makes it a certain player in the future of skiing, whilst the ski-in / ski-out nature of the resort and the skiing make it super-convenient. Located close to Innsbruck, the ski area is open from the beginning of December through to the ned of April and much of the time it has great snow quality.

The filming location of the British TV show, ‘The Jump’, Kühtai offers plenty of opportunities for groups to create their own on-snow challenges as well as photo opportunities of where all the TV carnage took place.
